How to recycle pods at your Local Authority Recycling Centre

Jun 9, 2022

Coffee, tea and hot chocolate pods can be recycled with Podback at local authority recycling centres (also known as Household Waste Recycling Centres or HWRCs) in the following areas:

Simply collect and store your pods at home until you’re ready to take them to the Recycling Centre. Please check with your local authority before making a journey to the Recycling Centre, as you may need to book an appointment.

You don't need any special bags or containers to save your pods, but please keep aluminium and plastic pods separate.

At the Recycling Centre,  the Podback recycling containers will be clearly signed. Just empty your pods, loose, into the relevant plastic or aluminium container.

Please only put pods into the containers, we can’t accept empty bags or product packaging.

If your Council is not currently on the list, please use our postcode checker to find out how to recycle with Podback in your area.
